Today, Jo the Dental Nurse came to Team 1 to demonstrate the correct way to brush your teeth and share with us how to keep our teeth healthy.

Using Our Rulers

We have been making rulers in the Piki Pod. Today we took them outside to measure things around the playground. We had to remember to start at 0 and keep our rulers straight. 

Measuring

Today we began learning about measurement.  We learnt to make our own non-standard ruler.  First we had to write our numbers and then put them in order.  We used a rod between our numbers to make our gaps even.  When we were making our rulers we learnt to focus and persist with the task.  It is slow maths.  Check out our progress.

First Day of School

Today was the children's first day of school and we are learning to read.
