Piki Pod Writers

Today, we learnt that letters make words, words make sentences, and sentences make stories.

When we wrote our sentence we practised using a capital letter, finger spaces and a full stop.

Let’s go swimming!

Let’s go swimming; it’s so much fun to play in the water with everyone! We have learnt how to enter a pool safely.  Lovely to see our tamariki so confident in the water.

Maths

Today we did matchstick name writing. We counted out 50 matchsticks by making 5 groups of 10 or tally marks and making 10 groups of 5. Our challenge was to write our name using  all 50 sticks! It wasn't as easy as we thought! Check out our efforts

This morning we practised writing all our high frequency words.
